The new school year has begun, and Hiram Johnson’s Class of 2018 seniors recently had an assembly reminding and encouraging them about the upcoming deadlines, events, and requirements regarding their last year of high school. Seniors will need to think about filling out college applications, FASFA, and other scholarships as well. At the same time studying and taking tests such as the ACT and SAT while balancing their time working on their senior projects. Senior year is said to be “the most stressful, but also the easiest year” Brandon Kieng.

If the seniors persevere and receive help from their teachers and counselors, the graduating seniors, will be capable of getting into a college. The students must keep up with deadlines and their grades, to have an even higher chance of getting into the college of their dreams. The Class of 2018 will have a long and tough year ahead of them, but it will also be fun and exciting to be in their final year of high school soon before the seniors are released into the real world.
